Add all the ingredients to a half pint (8 ounce) mason jar. Tighten the lid on the jar and shake until the spices are blended together. Alternatively, add all ingredients to a small mixing bowl and whisk until combined. Use a funnel to pour the spice mix into a jar and seal tightly.
Store the spice mix at room temperature for up to 1 year.

Ingredient Tip - If desired, adjust the spices to suit your tastes. We choose to keep the ingredient list as simple as possible and have found adding allspice to be unnecessary in this recipe. However, if you are a fan - add it! Cardamom can also be added.
