Why You’ll Love This Homemade Pumpkin Spice

Who doesn’t love a little pumpkin spice? We eagerly wait for its return all year and start our fall baking right as soon as the weather starts to get a little cold.

There’s just something about the sweet pumpkin flavor and a subtle touch of warmth from teh spice that always hits the spot. However, store-bought options can be pricey, are sometimes full of not-so-great ingredients, and they don’t give you any control over the flavor.

So, we make our own instead! Our recipe calls for just a few simple spices we always have in the pantry and stores super well. So, you really can’t go wrong!

Adjust the ratios to taste, and use it in all your pumpkin recipes all season long.

  1. Add all the ingredients to a mason jar (a small bowl will also work).

Storage

Store your spice blend in an airtight container in a cool, dry place at room temperature for up to one year. You’ll know it’s time for a new batch when the color fades and your pumpkin spice no longer has a strong aroma. We’ve never had it last nearly that long, though!
