Homemade Garlic Salt

We use garlic salt in all our recipes, from our blackened cod with mango salsa to our easy pumpkin chili. However, store-bought options are pricey. So, we started making our own with ingredients we always have and hand, and we’ve never looked back!

Lots of garlic salt recipes we see online require making powdered garlic, which you can totally do! However, we skip it and use pre-made garlic powder instead. It’s super affordable, and we always have it on hand. So, we just save time.

Then, all we have to do is whisk it with salt, and the seasoning is ready to use. It’s our go-to for adding savory flavor to all our meals, and the blend stays fresh for months! Plus, you can easily adjust the salt levels for whatever you’re making, guaranteeing your food is never overly salty. Try it out, and you’ll never go back to store-bought again.

How to Store

Once combined, transfer the seasoning blend to an airtight container. Store it at room temperature for up to six to twelve months. You’ll know it’s time for a new batch if the color changes or the blend loses its fragrance.
