Ingredients and Notes
Please be sure to scroll down to the recipe card for the complete details.

- Chicken – We use leftover crockpot shredded chicken, juicy baked chicken breast, or even store-bought rotisserie chicken.
- Tzatziki Sauce – We use our quick homemade tzatziki sauce, combining cucumber, Greek yogurt, garlic, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, dried dill, salt, and pepper. Feel free to use any store-bought brand you like best, though!
- Veggies – Cucumber and red onion add satisfying crunch. We recommend using either English cucumber or Persian cucumber, both of which have smaller seeds and thinner skin than other varieties.
- Seasonings – Salt and pepper enhance the salad. We sometimes add a dash of garlic powder or garlic salt, too!
Possible Variations
We love the simplicity of this tzatziki chicken salad, but that doesn’t mean you can’t mix and match different ingredients to make it your own! Some tasty ways to switch it up include:
- Avocado – Add 1 diced avocado for extra creaminess and healthy fats.
- Mediterranean – Mix in cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives, and crumbled feta cheese.
- Spicy – Add red pepper flakes or a drizzle of hot sauce for a little heat.
- Garlic Herb – Add fresh minced garlic and chopped dill or parsley for more flavor.
- Lemon Dill – Mix in fresh lemon juice, zest, and extra dill for a bright, fresh taste.
- Creamy – Stir in a little mayo or Greek yogurt for a richer, creamier texture.
- Veggies – Add diced celery, bell peppers, or extra cucumber for crunch.
- Egg Boost – Mix in chopped hard-boiled eggs for extra protein.

Our Favorite Ways to Serve
We love to serve this tzatziki chicken salad as a light lunch with crackers or veggie sticks for dipping. It’s also delicious in pita bread, sandwich bread, or tortillas for a sandwich or wrap. Or, spoon the salad into lettuce cups or over a bed of greens for a low-carb option.
It’s also delicious served over rice, quinoa, or couscous with extra veggies as a filling grain bowl!
