Ingredients You’ll Need
Below is an overview of the ingredients and instructions for this white chocolate dipped Oreos recipe. Please be sure to scroll down to the recipe card below for the complete details.

- Oreos – We use mint Oreos for a pop of green color and a refreshing taste, but regular Oreos work well, too.
- White Chocolate Chips – We melt these down to coat the cookies. Feel free to use white candy melts or white chocolate almond bark instead.
- Food Coloring – A splash of green food coloring makes everything more fun!
- Sprinkles – We use these super cute St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles but any kind will work.
How to Make White Chocolate Dipped Oreos

- Melt the chocolate. Divide the white chocolate chips between two microwave-safe bowls. Heat both bowls in the microwave, stirring frequently, until the chocolate melts. Don’t skip the stirring! Been there. Done that. The chocolate clumps. You can also use a double boiler, but it takes a lot longer.

2. Color. Add the green food coloring to one of the bowls of melted chocolate, and stir to combine.

3. Dip the cookies. Dip each Oreo cookie into the melted chocolate, alternating between the green and white chocolate. Let any excess chocolate drip off. Then, add the sprinkles on top.

4. Cool. Place the Oreos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper, and set them aside until the chocolate hardens.
Tip: To speed up the process, place the cookies in the freezer to harden!

Fun Flavor Variations
- Swap the Oreos. Use Double-Stuffed Oreos, Golden Oreos, or any flavor you like best.
- Use a Different Chocolate. Replace white chocolate with dark chocolate or milk chocolate. Or, add a drizzle of chocolate over the Oreos after the white chocolate sets!
- Add More Toppings. Add to or substitute the sprinkles with toppings like crushed Oreos, coconut flakes, or chopped nuts.
Tip: Feel free to use this recipe for different holidays, too! For instance, you can swap the mint Oreos for red velvet Oreos, and use pink food coloring and Valentine’s Day sprinkles. Or, use Christmas sprinkles, Easter sprinkles, or birthday sprinkles. The options are endless!
Common Questions
Yes! Once the chocolate sets, store your St. Patrick’s Day Oreos in an airtight container or sealable bag. They will stay fresh at room temperature for up to ten days.
Technically, you can freeze these cookies. However, we don’t recommend it, because the taste and texture will change once thawed.
